Engraved Bricks

Midwest Engraving & Midwest Everlasting Memorials are both owned by the Joyce family. We can help you start your brick engraving fundraiser at either location.

At MWE, we offer two types of engraving:

Laser Engraving is produced on clay bricks and pavers, clay tiles and ceramic tiles. The combination of computer and high power laser light enables us to engrave highly detailed graphics and artistic text at a very low cost compared to other engraving methods. The intense laser light turns the engraved surface to a glass. The result is a very detailed image that is permanently apart of the brick, even with the surface of the brick. This process is excellent for all climates.

Sandblast engraving was the primary method of engraving in stone and brick until the invention of laser-equipped CNC routers. Sandblasting is typically used on projects that use unique types of natural raw materials or of a-typical size. Sandblasted materials permit a black or colored stain to applied into cavities created to give contrast and increased visibility to etched areas of the piece.
